Job summary

Millennium Land Ltd. in Swift Current, SK is seeking an Intermediate Environmental Scientist to join our team. The role balances office and field work with a focus on Oil & Gas Reclamation and Remediation. You will report to the Manager of Reclamation and collaborate with our experienced staff.

Responsibilities include gas migration testing, environmental site assessments (Phase I & II), wellsite abandonment work, spill response, groundwater sampling, and preparing reports.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Agrology, Environmental Sciences, or similar field preferred.
• Hold, or be eligible for, certification from a Professional Organization (SIA, APEGS, SASTT, ASPB, etc.)
• Experience in the environmental field considered an asset
• Knowledge of Saskatchewan oil and gas sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract

The Opportunity:

As an Environmental Scientist you will have a balance of office and field work. Specifically, primary duties will relate to Oil & Gas Reclamation and Remediation. You will report directly to the Manager of Reclamation and have the support of the entire Millennium team.

What We Are Looking For:

• Post‑secondary degree or diploma (degree in Agrology, Environmental Sciences, or similar field preferred)
• Hold, or be eligible for, certification from a Professional Organization (SIA, APEGS, SASTT, ASPB, etc.)
• Experience in the environmental field considered an asset
• Knowledge of Saskatchewan oil and gas sector
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Ability to meet tight deadlines
• Valid Class 5 drivers license with clean abstract

Desired Attributes (not required):

• Applicable, up to date Field Safety Tickets (First Aid/CPR, H2S Alive, etc)
• Experience leading field crews and managing subcontractors is beneficial
• Experience with maintaining, calibrating, and using a variety of monitoring instruments
