In this position as an Entry Level Junior Electrical Engineer, or Entry Level Junior Electrical Technician/Technologist (multiple positions available), you will have the opportunity to work as part of a team of engineers and technologists on multiple projects for a range of public and private sector clients. Your Key Responsibilities
Working as part of a team, this work will involve the design, drafting, construction, and commissioning services for industrial electrical systems including power distribution, lighting & controls, fire alarm, and backup power systems.
Follow production guidelines and project standards in the department drafting standards manual.
Providing CAD & Revit drafting and design assistance for a wide variety of projects, from report stage through design and construction administration.
Assisting in preparing documentation for the resolution of technical issues on construction sites.
You will be expected to support team operations and play an integral part in the promotion of our health and safety culture.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Experience in the engineering consulting industry is an asset.
Familiarity with the engineering design process is an asset.
Familiarity with electrical and building codes is an asset.
Familiarity with AutoCAD and Revit software packages for drafting/design of electrical systems is an asset.
Familiarity with lighting simulation software such as Dialux, AGI, or Visual is an asset.
Familiarity with power simulation software such as ETap is an asset.
Demonstrable initiative on tasks and in leading/influencing team members is an asset.
Effective written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work under and meet tight deadlines.
Interest in building engineering systems.
Education and Experience
Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in electrical engineering, electrical technologies, integrated engineering, engineering physics, drafting, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to pass security clearance in Canada is required.
This position will primarily be based in an office setting; some field work may be required.
