Job Overview

We are seeking entry-level professionals for the roles of Junior Electrical Engineer or Junior Electrical Technician/Technologist. These positions offer the opportunity to work on diverse projects within our Buildings practice, focusing on designing and supporting electrical systems in the built environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, drafting, construction, and commissioning of industrial electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting & controls, fire alarm, and backup power systems.
• Follow production guidelines and project standards in drafting and design.
• Provide CAD & Revit drafting and design support from report to construction phases.
• Assist in preparing documentation for technical issues on construction sites.
• Support team operations and promote health and safety culture.

Qualifications

• Technical degree/diploma/certificate or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related fields.
• Experience in the engineering consulting industry is an asset.
• Knowledge of electrical and building codes, AutoCAD, Revit, and lighting/power simulation software is beneficial.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Interest in building engineering systems.

Additional Requirements

• Ability to pass security clearance in Canada.

Employment Details

This is a full-time, entry-level position based in Vancouver, BC, primarily in an office setting with some field work. Compensation ranges from $47,000 to $63,400, depending on experience and qualifications.
