We are seeking a Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Toronto. In this role, you will apply established calculation and design methods to prepare plans, schematics, technical specifications, and project estimates related to HV substations and renewable power facilities such as Battery Energy Storage, Wind, Solar, and Hydro projects.

Your future role on the team

As a member of the electrical engineering team, you will:

• Work on challenging renewable projects
• Engage in detailed engineering tasks
• Design and interpret diagrams and drawings
• Conduct electrical studies
• Draft technical documents, calculation notes, specifications, and reports
• Apply and enhance established work methods
• Participate in project management activities including execution, costs, and scheduling
• Attend coordination meetings internally and with clients

Qualifications and requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program
• Member in good standing with PEO
• Recent graduate or up to 2 years of engineering experience, with proficiency in reading and preparing electrical schematics
• Available for short-term assignments
• Knowledge of MS Office and database applications
• Basic understanding of HV/MV/LV apparatus and electrical safety
• Assets include bilingualism (English and French), knowledge of power systems, and familiarity with ETAP, EasyPower, CYME, and PSCAD software
