Saltworks Technologies in Richmond, BC, is hiring a Junior Electrical Commissioning Engineer/Technologist to support startup and delivery of advanced clean tech systems. You’ll work with experienced engineers at our facility and at customer sites worldwide, with roughly 50% travel and field rotations of 2-3 weeks.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent and have 1–2 years in commissioning or field support, plus knowledge of safety standards.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, a diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in commissioning, fieldwork, or technical project support.
• Familiarity with industrial safety standards and commissioning practices.
• Exposure to electrical or mechanical systems, instrumentation, or process control is an asset.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills with a safety-first mindset.
• A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside multi-disciplinary teams to execute commissioning, troubleshooting, and system handovers.
• Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and resource coordination.
• Contribute to refining commissioning procedures and best practices.

The role:

Travel Commitment:

This position involves approximately 50% travel, with typical field rotations of 2-3 weeks. Some projects may require extended stays of 6-12 weeks, depending on customer needs.
