Construction Demathieu Bard (CDB) Inc. is seeking a Document Controller to manage and maintain our controlled documentation.
The role ensures documents are identified, reviewed, approved, distributed, stored, and archived in line with procedures and standards, supporting project teams and employees across the organization. The position also provides admin support and helps develop templates and reports while contributing to process improvements.
Construction Demathieu & Bard (CDB) Inc. is the Canadian subsidiary of Demathieu Bard, a company based in France with over 160 years of experience in the construction industry, and has been operating in Canada since 1997.
CDB specializes in major infrastructure construction and rehabilitation and is known for its innovative, complex construction methodologies and adaptability when undertaking challenging projects. As the general contractor, construction manager, and/or project manager, CDB continues to successfully deliver complex and challenging projects, particularly heavy infrastructure projects such as bridges, canals, dams, tunnels, and buildings.

The Document Controller is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s-controlled documentation and ensuring that documents are properly identified, reviewed, approved, distributed, stored, and archived throughout their lifecycle. This role ensures compliance with company document control procedures, specifications, and established standards while supporting employees and project teams with the effective handling and retrieval of documentation.
This position also provides administrative and operational support, prepares templates and reports as required, and contributes to the continuous improvement of document control processes and overall organizational efficiency.
Please note: This role is intended to transition from document controls to project controls once the project itself moves from design to construction phase in 2027.
Beginning in Markham (design office), then transitioning St. Catharines' site in 2027, near the Garden City Skyway.

$65,000-$75,000
Typical office hours of 8:00AM - 5:00pm, some flexibility required based on site activity or deadlines
