Job summary

Construction Demathieu Bard (CDB) Inc. in Ontario is seeking a Jr. Project Coordinator intern who will work closely with the project manager to support progress on site, in the project yard and trailers.

You must be currently enrolled in Civil/Construction Engineering and return to full-time studies after the term, and be prepared to travel to project sites. This on-site internship provides hands-on experience on major infrastructure projects, with potential for permanent employment after

Responsibilities

• Track project progress against budget, specifications and schedule.
• Track and update inventory lists.
• Material, tools and supplies ordering; coordinate deliveries.
• Assist with preparations of various reports and calculations.
• Read and interpret drawings / contracts.
• Assist with purchasing site supplies / purchase orders.
• Support on-site measuring.
• Assist through quality inspections and tests.
• Participate in project meetings.
• Follow up with clients and subcontractors and assist with documentation maintenance.
• Support Project manager and Superintendent as required.

*YOU MUST BE A CURRENT STUDENT, RETURNING TO SCHOOL AFTER THIS INTERNSHIP TO QUALIFY*

Work Term:Start in May, 2027, for 1 to 4 terms (4 to 16 months)

International students must be able to complete an internship of a minimum of 6 months.

Interview period: Selected applicants will be contacted before the end of June.

Location: Project located within Ontario (rental accommodation covered by company.) Head office located in Peterborough.

Required education and experience:

• Current enrollment in Civil Engineering / Construction Engineering program at an accredited post-secondary institution, and returning to full-time studies after the work term.
• Personal vehicle required.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

Job Summary:

As a Jr. Project Coordinator, you will work closely with the project manager and project superintendent to support project progress according to set schedule, budget and quality standards. Work is performed on site, in the project yard and in site trailers.
