Job summary

Jarvis Consulting Group in Toronto is launching a paid training program for new graduates and newcomers to begin a career in software, data, and AI consulting. You will train on tools and practices used by clients and then join a two-year contract, working as part of a client team.

The role offers in-person or hybrid training arrangements, with ongoing mentorship, career support, and opportunities to work with major Canadian enterprise clients.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Program Structure

• Training: A paid training period run by our internal team, covering the tools and practices our clients actually use. We also spend real time on the basics: communication, working with a team, taking feedback.


• Placement: Once training wraps up, we place graduates on a two-year contract with one of our clients, working as part of their team.


• Ongoing Support: Support doesn't end at placement. There's mentorship, career support, and certification opportunities while you're on contract.


• What We Look For: We can build on some coding experience and a genuine eagerness to learn. What we can't teach as easily is showing up, asking good questions, and taking feedback without getting defensive. That matters more to us than a perfect skill match.

Your Role as a Tech Consultant

• Designing and developing high-quality software, data, and AI systems to meet client business needs.


• Collaborating with a team to analyze client challenges, propose effective technical strategies, and deliver impactful solutions.


• Implementing and maintaining scalable software, data, and AI solutions to provide strategic insights for our clients.


• Troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, acting as a trusted advisor to your client team.


• Contributing to all stages of the consulting lifecycle, from problem analysis to solution deployment.

What You Bring

• A post-secondary STEM educational background is preferred or a strong passion for transitioning into a career in software, data, and AI.


• New graduates and newcomers with foreign work experience are strongly encouraged to apply.


• Proficiency with at least one data skill, such as SQL, Pandas, PySpark, or R.


• A strong desire to learn and a natural curiosity for new technologies.


• A knack for pushing boundaries and a love for solving complex problems.
