Job summary

S I Systems is seeking a Junior Data Analyst in Toronto for a 12-month contract with hybrid work (onsite 3x/week). The role focuses on building reporting and analytics using SQL, Power BI, Python, and BigQuery to support fraud analytics in CIAM.

You will ingest data from multiple sources, develop dashboards, track KPIs, and contribute to incident analysis and data storytelling. Collaboration with analytics, engineering, and business partners is required.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience as a Data Analyst or Reporting Analyst
• Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets
• Practical experience with Power BI and building dashboards
• Experience working in Agile teams and tools (Jira, Confluence)
• Exposure to Python, BigQuery or similar cloud data warehousing

Responsibilities

• Ingest and transform data from multiple sources (e.g., BigQuery, SQL Server, CSV) using SQL and Python.
• Build and maintain Power BI reports, and dashboards for CIAM fraud metrics, trends, and patterns across channels and geographies.
• Track and report CIAM KPIs and produce weekly/monthly insights decks with trend analysis and operational recommendations.
• Support root‑cause analysis and post‑incident reporting with clear, concise data narratives.
• Execute ad hoc queries to answer business questions around control performance, user journeys, and fraud patterns.

Our financial services client is seeking a Junior Data Analyst (2-4+ Years) to build reporting and analytics using SQL, Power BI, Python, and BigQuery- 41590

Contract Duration: 12 months

Location: Toronto and Scaborough – hybrid – onsite 3x/week minimum (Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursday) (Could change to 4x/ week in office in future)

Schedule Hours: 37.5 hours Per week

Story Behind the Need:

Global CIAM Fraud Strategy & Solutions supports all business lines, channels, and products across all markets. As a Data Analyst, you will help turn data into insights that keep the Bank safe from fraud and client identity threats. You will assist in building and maintaining reporting, dashboards, and analytics that monitor CIAM risk, detection performance, and client journey vulnerabilities (onboarding & authentication), working closely with analysts, engineers, and business partners to support roadmap prioritization and incident response.

This is a hands‑on role focused on data analysis, KPI tracking, report automation, data validation, and documentation; ideal for analysts looking to grow in fraud analytics, CIAM, and large‑scale data environments.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 2–4 years of hands‑on experience as a Data Analyst or Reporting Analyst
• Proficiency in SQL for querying large datasets.

• Exposure to Python, BigQuery or similar cloud data warehousing.

Nice‑To‑Have Skills:

• Experience in Fraud Analytics, CIAM, or Cybersecurity analytics.
• Prior global financial institution or large-scale data environment experience.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field such as computer science, engineering, technology, statistics, mathematics or a related field is required

Best VS. Average Candidate:

previous experience within Fraud Analytics, CIAM or cybersecurity within FI or large-scale data environment.Looking for someone who has Technology skills on the business side.
