Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in Toronto, Canada, seeks a Cost Controller to develop and manage project controls, lead EcoSys deployment, and deliver regular cost reporting for EPCM projects. • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of cost-control experience, preferably in major EPCM projects.
• Proficiency with Excel, Aconex Cost, Primavera P6, and Power BI.
• Strong understanding of project controls, cost allocation and financial risk management.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain project controls systems, procedures, and standards to ensure effective cost management.
• Coordinate the implementation of the EcoSys cost control tool, including user training and ongoing support.
• Track, analyze, and report project expenditures against budgets and forecasts, including monthly cost reports, variance analyses, and dashboards.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project budgets, actual costs, forecasts, accruals, and cash flow projections.
• Collaborate with project managers, discipline leads, and procurement teams to update forecasts, evaluate change orders, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Support contract management and invoicing processes by reviewing invoices, monitoring accruals, and providing cost-related insights.
• Participate in project meetings to provide project controls updates and ensure compliance with internal project controls standards.
