Job description

Our client, a prominent law firm is seeking a Junior Corporate Law Clerk to join their team in Hamilton.

Responsibilities

  • Draft corporate documents including incorporations, amalgamations, amendments, continuances, dissolutions, revivals, and wind-ups, including preparing and filing related articles, resolutions, and notices
  • Assist with corporate reorganizations, financings, and share/asset purchase and sale transactions
  • Prepare, file, and maintain business name registrations for partnerships, sole proprietorships, limited partnerships, and corporations
  • Organize, track, and maintain case documents and correspondence, utilizing appropriate databases and imaging software
  • Prepare and file extra-provincial registrations and licenses with guidance from senior team members
  • Maintain and review corporate minute books

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience as a Law Clerk or Paralegal in Corporate Law
  • Graduate from a Law Clerk/Paralegal diploma
