Job summary

Job description

Toronto (Remote Role) | 3 + Years

Job Summary
Our client is seeking a law clerk with a minimum of 3 years experience to work at their litigation firm. They specialize in subrogation and recovery, tort (occupier’s liability) public liability and professional negligence litigation. No MVA or AB work. The ideal candidate will be someone who takes initiative, is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong writing skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Analyze and summarize documents and files
  • Prepare and review pleadings, affidavits of documents, motion materials, undertakings, general litigation support
  • Office administration and scheduling
  • Assist with preparation for trial or hearings

Skills and Specifications

  • Preference will be given to Applicants with experience in insurance litigation work.
  • Experience in all aspects of Microsoft 365 and Adobe Pro
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Meeting of tight timelines.
  • Critical thinking and analysis as well as sound judgment.

Education and Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education
  • Completion of a Law Clerk program or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years relevant experience
