Annual Salary: $45,000

About the Company

We are a one‑stop compliance powerhouse trusted by clients who expect precision, agility, and results. We run like a championship sports team where every player knows their role, every move is strategic, and winning means delivering industry‑leading compliance outcomes for every client we serve.

About the Team

We are a high‑performance squad that thrives on trust, accountability, and measurable impact. We train hard, execute flawlessly, and celebrate the wins together.

About the Role

This role is central to maintaining a high-performing compliance program under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer (COO), in close collaboration with the Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) and Compliance Managers.

You will start by handling everyday tasks under supervision: collecting audit files, taking client meeting notes, checking policies for errors or gaps, running routine KYC and KYB checks when needed, reviewing transaction monitoring alerts, updating procedures, and supporting MSB compliance, RPAA readiness, and staff training records. You will also update the compliance milestones, track audit follow-ups to ensure completion, and write clear, simple status updates for clients and the CCO team.

Over time, you will take on bigger responsibilities: working more closely with clients, helping lead audits, drafting new policies, resolving compliance gaps, tracking regulatory remediation and ongoing MSB and RPAA requirements, and explaining risks clearly so CCO team can make well-informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

All tasks in this role are directed, guided, and reviewed by the CCO team.

CCO Program Execution
  • Help the CCO team with daily tasks, meeting preparation, and basic client communications.
  • Review routine workflows to spot errors, missing steps, or delays, and suggest simple fixes to senior staff.
  • Coordinate with internal team members to ensure standard compliance processes are followed across client accounts.
CCO Program Health & Daily Operations
  • Create and refine compliance policies utilizing AI toolsets.
  • Test compliance function for Phantom Compliance Customers across onboarding, transaction monitoring, screening, and other CCO milestones.
  • Support Client inquiries regarding their CCO program.
  • Support MSB compliance and RPAA readiness by gathering required records and tracking regulatory deadlines.
  • Help organize staff training materials and maintain accurate training completion records.
CCO Health Scorecard & Performance Tracking
  • Regularly update the CCO health scorecard and compliance spreadsheets.
  • Attend client meetings to take clear notes, track action items, and follow up on task completion for the team.
Audit Execution & Support
  • Help the CCO team prepare for audits by gathering files, sample documents, and background data.
  • Track audit action items and follow-ups to ensure findings are resolved on schedule.
  • Maintain organized digital archives so compliance records remain audit-ready at all times.
Client Reporting & Communication
  • Draft simple, clear compliance summary reports and status updates for CCO health checks.
  • Share approved meeting notes, reminders, and completed action items with clients on time.
  • Help gather documents and records for urgent inquiries from banks, partners, or regulators.
  • Complete other day-to-day compliance support duties as assigned by senior leadership.
Other Duties
  • Assist the CCO team with ad hoc tasks and special compliance projects as needed.
Qualifications
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Basic knowledge of or strong interest in cryptocurrency, fintech, and anti-money laundering (AML) regulations.
Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in compliance, financial services, risk support, or administrative operations (internship experience considered).
  • Basic hands‑on experience or exposure to compliance tools for customer onboarding (KYC/KYB) and transaction monitoring.
  • Experience assisting with policy reviews, tracking task lists, or gathering records for audits.
  • Familiarity with money services businesses (MSBs), payment processing, or regulatory frameworks (such as FINTRAC, FinCEN, or RPAA readiness) is a strong asset.
Knowledge
  • Foundational understanding of AML/anti-terrorist financing (ATF) concepts, KYC/KYB checks, and sanctions screening.
  • Familiarity with basic financial regulations and compliance reporting guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to spot errors, inconsistencies, and missing information in documents.
