Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Junior Civil/Structural Engineer (New Grad) to join our Civil/Structural team in Thunder Bay, ON. You will perform structural analyses and design for industrial buildings and supports, with or without software assistance, and help develop project documentation.

This entry-level role welcomes new graduates with a Civil/Structural degree, familiarity with CSA standards, and exposure to Civil 3D, STAAD Pro, or S-Frame.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 0-3 years of experience; new graduates welcome.
• Knowledge of CSA A23.1/A23.3 and CSA S16 standards.
• Experience with Civil 3D, STAAD Pro or S-Frame is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and collaborate across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analyses and design for industrial structures.
• Support design per applicable codes and review drawings.
• Develop work packages, documents, and specifications.
• Develop material takeoffs and support with project specs.
• Conduct site visits and provide construction support.
• Utilize QA tools and complete checklists as required.
• Follow procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development and maintain knowledge.
• Work safely and report health and safety incidents.
• Additional duties as required.
