Job summary

Kinetics Drive Solutions Inc. in Langley, BC, is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Buyer to support daily purchasing activities, ensure timely material orders, and maintain accurate purchasing data.

You will communicate with suppliers and internal teams, convert requisitions to orders, track deliveries, and help resolve invoice and pricing discrepancies while following company policies. This entry-level role offers training in ERP systems and opportunities to grow into broader supply chain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field is an asset.
• 0–1 year of administrative, customer service, coordination, logistics, or entry-level purchasing experience; internship or co-op welcome.
• Professional and confident communication skills, including phone, email, and in-person coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when entering and maintaining data.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Navision, SAP, NetSuite, or a willingness to learn.
• Ability to organize priorities, follow up consistently, and work collaboratively with internal teams and external suppliers.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable following up with suppliers while communicating clearly with internal teams and external partners.
• Enjoys solving routine issues, keeping information accurate, and helping ensure materials arrive when needed.

Responsibilities

• Convert approved purchase requisitions into purchase orders based on system requirements and established reorder points.
• Send purchase orders to suppliers and follow up to confirm pricing, order acknowledgements, and delivery timelines.
• Expedite urgent or past‑due orders through direct supplier communication by phone and email.
• Act as a day‑to‑day point of contact for suppliers, Accounts Payable, receiving personnel, warehouse, production, engineering, and quality teams.
• Support resolution of invoice, pricing, receiving, and three‑way match discrepancies.
• Initiate and follow up on Return Material Authorization requests to support timely credits or replacement shipments.
• Maintain accurate supplier contact information, lead times, part details, and purchasing records in the ERP system.
• Provide timely order status updates and escalate complex supplier issues to the Purchasing Manager when needed.
• Follow company purchasing policies, standard operating procedures, and workplace safety guidelines.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Junior Buyer to join our Purchasing team in Langley, BC.
