About The Role
We are seeking a Junior Buyer to join our Brantford team. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Purchasing Department to purchase parts and materials, meet cost and delivery targets, and ensure compliance with Canadian and USA customs regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Office, and AS400 is required.

Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

1. Issue, modify or cancel purchase orders as required.
2. Update purchase orders based on acknowledgements.
3. Maintain pricing and update accounting records.
4. Manage VMI programs and request materials accordingly.
5. Assist with inventory management and production needs through daily reports.
6. Ensure all purchase orders are received by vendors and follow up as needed.
7. Correct receiving errors and update system records.
8. Maintain inventory accuracy.
9. Coordinate receipt and request of materials from external warehouses.
10. Complete daily material orders and blanket releases.
11. Participate in annual physical inventory.
12. Negotiate vendor terms and identify cost savings.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills

• Post-secondary education with at least 1 year of purchasing experience.
• Interest in pursuing a Supply Chain Management designation or diploma.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
