Job summary

Northview seeks a Junior Building Operator in Yellowknife, NT to support day-to-day operation, maintenance, and upkeep of commercial properties. You will assist with inspections, routine repairs, groundskeeping, and tenant service requests while upholding safety standards and presenting well-maintained spaces for tenants.

Ideal candidates bring experience in building maintenance (asset), basic trades knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work with tenants and teams.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good organizational and time-management abilities, able to prioritize tasks.

Responsibilities

Conduct routine building rounds and inspections of property systems and equipment.
Identify and report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and deficiencies.
Assist with routine building operations, maintenance tasks, and tenant requests.
Perform general repairs: painting, lighting, plumbing, and upkeep of common areas.
Maintain washrooms and mechanical/utility rooms, and organize tools and supplies.
Support snow removal, landscaping, and seasonal maintenance as needed.
Respond to tenant service requests promptly and professionally.
Follow Northview safety procedures and building standards at all times.
