Job Summary

We are looking for a Junior AV Installer to perform AV installation. Tasks include pulling cable, installing connectors, terminating cable ends, mounting speakers, projectors, and screens.

This is a Junior Installer position based in Calgary. Applicants with all levels of experience are encouraged to apply.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Assist Senior and Lead technicians on AV projects
  • Perform cable pulls, soldering, crimping, and terminating audio, video, and network cables
  • Mount monitors, projectors, microphones, and speakers using appropriate hardware (training provided)
  • Review project documentation and prepare for site activities
  • Read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Handle AV equipment at shop and site
  • Work overtime as needed to meet client deadlines, possibly including out-of-town travel
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Independent worker capable of meeting deadlines
  • Proficient with hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of low voltage systems and signal flow
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts
Education and Experience
  • Electronics or related field preferred
  • Networking/IT background preferred
Safety and Certifications
  • Bondable with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders
  • Relevant safety certifications are an asset
