Job summary

SEGULA Technologies is seeking a Junior Automotive Designer in Windsor, Ontario, to support design and development of automotive components from concept through production. You will create and modify 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D drawings, and assist with design reviews, changes, and documentation.

This role welcomes a recent graduate with co‑op/internship exposure to CAD and mechanical design, and familiarity with CATIA, NX or SolidWorks, plus GD&T fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate with 0–2 years of engineering/design experience.
• Hands‑on CAD experience from projects or internships.
• Knowledge of CATIA, NX or SolidWorks and basic GD&T.

This position requires eligibility for a TN visa (i.e., Canadian citizenship) because it is located in Auburn Hills, MI.

We are seeking a Junior Automotive Designer to support the design and development of automotive components and systems. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent Engineering graduate with automotive co-op/internship experience and hands‑on exposure to CAD and mechanical design through academic projects or previous experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Recent graduate or 0–2 years of engineering/design experience.
• Previous automotive co‑op, internship, or student work experience strongly preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with CAD/design, gained through professional, co‑op, or university projects.
• Knowledge of 3D CAD software such as CATIA, NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of mechanical design, GD&T, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented automotive environment.

• Automotive design or vehicle development project experience.
• Experience with CATIA V5, Siemens NX, or Teamcenter.
• Exposure to automotive OEM or Tier 1 engineering environments.
• Familiarity with engineering change management and product development processes.
