O'Connor Glass Ltd. (AGS) is seeking a Junior Automatic Door Technician to assist with installation, service, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automatic and commercial door systems. You will work with experienced technicians and project teams to develop technical skills while helping ensure door systems operate safely and reliably.

The role offers hands-on training, a full-time permanent position in Charlottetown, PEI, and opportunities to grow within a hardworking team environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with automatic or commercial doors, electrical or mechanical trades is an asset.
• Entry-level candidates with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Strong mechanical and problem-solving abilities.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to travel to project sites as required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Assist with service, maintenance, adjustments, and repairs
• Help diagnose and troubleshoot automatic door system issues
• Read and follow technical drawings, manuals, and installation instructions
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Work closely with experienced technicians, project managers, contractors, and team members
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety regulations

The Junior Automatic Door Technician will assist with the installation, servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automatic and commercial door systems. Working alongside experienced technicians and project teams, this position offers an opportunity to develop technical skills while helping ensure door systems operate safely and reliably.

• Assist with the installation of automatic door operators and commercial entrance systems
• Assist with service, maintenance, adjustments, and repairs
• Help diagnose and troubleshoot automatic door system issues
• Read and follow technical drawings, manuals, and installation instructions
• Safely operate hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
• Work closely with experienced technicians, project managers, contractors, and team members
• Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with safety regulations

• Previous experience in automatic doors, commercial doors, electrical, mechanical, glazing, construction, or a related trade is considered an asset

• Salary Range: $23.00–$27.00 per hour
• 4% vacation pay
• Full-time, Permanent
