Job summary

Nature’s Path Foods is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Finance team on a six-month contract. The role focuses on supporting day-to-day accounting activities, assisting with month-end close, and helping maintain accurate financial records during a period of transformation, including our IFS Cloud upgrade.

You bring 1–3 years of accounting experience (intercompany a plus), strong detail orientation, and a team-first attitude.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, including intercompany transactions.
• Experience supporting AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end, and reporting.
• Strong attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Positive, team-first attitude with ability to learn quickly.
• Progress toward a CPA designation welcomed but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with month-end close, bank and other account reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, and AP.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and reporting.

While several members of our team focus on our exciting IFS Cloud upgrade, you’ll play a key role in helping keep our day-to-day finance operations running smoothly. What you’ll do

• Support the Corporate Controller with day-to-day accounting activities and special projects.
• Assist with month-end close, bank and other account reconciliations, journal entries, account analysis, and the accounts payable function.
• Help maintain accurate financial records and reporting.
• Partner with teams across the business to resolve accounting questions and improve processes.
• Jump in where needed to help the Finance team during a busy and exciting period of transformation.

What you’ll bring

• 1-3 years of accounting experience, ideally including experience with intercompany transactions
• Experience supporting a variety of accounting functions (AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end, reporting).
• Strong attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills.
• A positive, team-first attitude with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities.
• Progress toward a CPA designation is welcomed but not required.

Details:

• Annualized salary of $75,000 (pro-rated for the 6 month contract).
• $5,000 completion bonus upon successfully completing the contract.
• This role will be 5 days a week in office until training is completed, then transition to four days a week in office.
