Job summary

BDO Canada LLP in the Greater Toronto Area is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Assurance & Accounting team in October 2028. This net new role will involve applying course knowledge to real client work, preparing working papers and financial statements, and gathering evidence for engagements.

You will build client relationships, support business development, and communicate progress with the team while pursuing CPA designation in a supportive environment with flexible, blended work

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree or diploma completed with CPA prerequisites.
• Desire to provide outstanding client service and commitment to teamwork.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out work projects using technical knowledge from courses.
• Prepare and complete working papers, financial statements, and notices to reader.
• Gather evidence for Assurance and Accounting engagements.
• Build positive client relationships and respond to requests.
• Participate in business development and identify opportunities with existing clients.
• Communicate progress and issues with the team.
