Job summary

Fraser Academy in Vancouver, BC is seeking a Junior Accountant to join the Business Office. You will provide accounting and administrative support, handling accounts payable, expense reimbursements, cheque runs, and reconciliations to ensure timely financial processing.

Reporting to the CFAO, you’ll work with Excel templates, Sage and Google Suite to maintain accurate records and support ongoing reporting for a non-profit education organization.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts payable or full cycle local accounting experience (non-profit preferred).
• Effective written and verbal English communication.
• Advanced computer literacy: Sage, MS Office Suite, Google Suite.
• Highly proficient in building, using and maintaining excel and word templates.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable in a timely manner.
• Process employee expense reimbursements and credit card expense reports.
• Prepare cheque runs and EFT transfers.
• Credit card statement reconciliations and vendor filing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date expense and accounts payable spreadsheets.
