Cammtac in Toronto is seeking a meticulous accountant to prepare financial statements, manage balance sheets and P&L, and oversee payroll and tax compliance for diverse clients.

You will supervise 3–4 staff, help design and administer bookkeeping systems, ensure adherence to accounting standards, and provide financial and tax guidance while meeting tight deadlines. Responsibilities

  • Identify clients' financial goals and objectives
  • Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
  • Plan, set up and administer accounting systems

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance to accounting standards, procedures and internal control
  • Prepare financial information for individuals, departments or companies
  • Prepare financial statements and reports
  • Conduct field audits of businesses to ensure compliance with provisions of the Income Tax Act, the Canadian Business Corporations Act or other statutory requirements
  • Develop and maintain cost findings, reporting and internal control procedure

  • Review and examine financial services and institutions to ensure compliance with governing legislation and regulation
  • Analyze financial documents and reports

  • Provide financial, business and tax advice
  • Assist in the planning and execution of financial statement audits
