Do you thrive in a fast-paced, goal‑driven environment? We’re hiring a Junior Accountant for a growing firm based in Port Perry. We’re looking for someone motivated, detail‑oriented, and eager to grow, with a solid foundation in accounting and tax principles and a commitment to high‑quality, client‑focused work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare T1 Personal Income Tax Returns
  • Prepare T2 Corporate Income Tax Returns
  • Prepare year‑end adjusting journal entries and working paper files for Compilation Engagements (Notice to Reader)
  • Accurately enter and categorize financial transactions in accounting software (QuickBooks Online and Desktop)
  • Perform reconciliations of bank, credit card, and other financial accounts
  • Prepare and file HST/GST returns on a timely basis
  • Communicate with clients to collect information, clarify details, and provide updates
  • Maintain and organize client files in a secure and systematic manner
  • Provide support to senior accountants and partners
Requirements
  • Post‑secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks Online/Desktop); CaseWare is an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to travel to our Port Perry office as required
