Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our finance team. In this role, you will support intercompany transaction processing, reconciliations, inventory management, month-end closing, and the preparation of data required for audit and tax filing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Intercompany transaction management:Perform intercompany reconciliations, and collaborate with joint venture and HQ product development teams to resolve outstanding issues, ensuring the balance is accurate, complete and resolve timely.
• Accounts payable management for Joint Venture：Verify vendor invoices, and ensure expense details are supported in accordance with company policies and payment terms.
• Inventory management：Coordinate sem-annual fixed asset and inventory counts in June and December for joint venture, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company policies.
• Month end closing：Support month end closing process by ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded, properly supported and complete within the reporting period. Prepare journal entries, and investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Audit and Tax compliance support: Prepare and provide data, schedule and supporting documents required for audit and tax filings in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Accounting Expertise: Solid accounting background with a strong understanding of accounting principals, financial processes, account reconciliations, and reporting practices. Experience with intercompany reconciliations is preferred.
• Exceptional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate efficiently across teams and engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Team-Oriented: Proven ability to function as a valuable team member, contributing to cross-functional collaboration and promoting a positive and productive work atmosphere.
• Attention to Detail: Highly detail-oriented, with a strong focus on accuracy in all tasks.
• Mandarin Proficiency: Fluency in Mandarin is considered a valuable asset.

The compensation for this role is expected to be between $50,000 ~ $60,000 CAD base per year. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
