Job description

We are currently seeking a Junior Accountant to join our client’s finance team on a 2-month temporary basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid accounting foundation who enjoys working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform general ledger reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.

Provide support in payroll processing, including data entry, audits, and coordination with internal teams.

Assist in the mapping of accounts.

Identify and implement opportunities to streamline accounting processes, reduce manual work, and improve efficiency.

Assist with month-end and year-end close activities as needed.

Qualifications & Skills :

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in an accounting or finance support role.

Strong understanding of general ledger and payroll processes.

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

CPA designation is an asset.

Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a proactive mindset.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams.

A criminal background check will be required.
