Job Description
The Jr. Copywriter supports the creative team by marketing programs from initial conception through final execution. Works with an art director and presents ideas effectively to his/her/their supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with our team to execute digital campaigns.
- Collaborate with other members of the creative team to develop relevant project strategies.
- Actively participate in team brainstorm sessions to discuss assignment parameters.
- Understand a brand’s tone and positioning.
- Work with an art director on internal and external presentations.
- Generate a range of ideas and designs to solve client’s marketing problems and produce effective and compelling designs for all elements of the creative solution, including interface design, typography, layout, and iconography.
- Act as a point of contact for Account Management and Project Management teams.
- Participate in the production process to ensure the integrity of the final product (print, video, or digital production).
- Assist with the pre-production process, working with production to ensure the integrity of files.
- Regularly participate in client-planning meetings.
- Understand client brand & business objectives and translate them into compelling concepts.
- Continuously develop your knowledge and understanding of the client's business, leading to a broader range of solutions to client problems.
- Work enthusiastically with other client team members in a collaborative environment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn, while creatively solving problems with a positive, professional demeanor.
- Create engaging and informative product listings for a specified number of e-commerce products.
- Collect and articulate product attributes for web descriptions.
- Optimize product descriptions based on keywords for search engine optimization (SEO) and conversion.
Qualifications
- Professional copywriting experience – normally acquired through completion of an accredited program at a college or university.
- Experience delivering digital and social advertising campaigns, from brief through to production.
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience with a strong and diverse portfolio of advertising campaigns (fashion / retail experience is an asset).
- Experience presenting and the ability to effectively communicate ideas.
- Working knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics.
- Strong communication skills to effectively manage workflow within and across teams and recommend process improvements.
- Analytical skills to evaluate creative approaches and seek unexpected, original, and innovative ideas.
- Thrives in a fast-paced and creative environment.
