  • Journeyman Pipefitter with IRATA certification preferred.
  • Mechanical background and safety certifications required.

Responsibilities

  • Install and assemble piping systems while interpreting blueprints.
  • Identify leaks and perform routine inspections for system integrity.

Job description

Position Summary

Tacten is seeking professional, energetic and forward-thinking JP Pipefitter to support project work on our newest site located in Kitimat BC.

Tacten will be providing the maintenance services utilizing rope access technology and all Pipefitters will be required to obtain IRATA Training and Certification.

  • Up to 6 month Project work
  • Immediate start date
  • Flights and Camp Available
  • Salary range $49.00/hr to $58.00/hr. depending on certifications
Responsibilities

This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the project’s startup's success by implementing innovative work techniques, fostering a collaborative environment, and driving advancements in our operations.

  • Installation and assembling of piping systems.
  • Interpreting blueprints and specifications to determine the layout and dimensions of the pipes.
  • Identifying and fixing leaks, replacing damaged pipes, and performing routine inspections to ensure the integrity of the system.
  • Testing and ensuring the quality of pipe installations.
Requirements
  • Journeyman Pipefitter.
  • IRATA Level 1 or 2 certification or a willingness to obtain assistance with training can be provided.
  • Mechanical background and solid understanding of Hydraulic system pumps, etc.
  • Current safety certifications as required by client and provincial standards in BC.
  • Located in Kitimat BC or willing to relocate.

Additionally, preference will be given to candidates with the following:

  • Proficiency/experience in trades/industrial settings.
  • Familiarity with LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) operations.
  • Background in mechanical operations.
