Job summary

FLINT is seeking skilled tradespeople for the Pulp Mill Peace River turnaround in Alberta. This full-time, on-site role runs Sept 8–16, 2026, with a continuous schedule and 8 hours of regular time plus 2 hours of overtime daily.

Candidates must hold a Journeyperson or Apprentice Trade certificate, have at least 4 years of industrial experience, and meet mandatory safety ticket requirements. LOA for non-locals and travel stipends apply.

Qualifications

  • Valid Journeyperson or Apprentice Trade certificate.
  • Minimum 4 years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements: WHMIS, Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Aerial Work Platform.
  • Welders must provide CWB and B-Pressure tickets.
  • Physically capable of demanding tasks and able to work on site.
  • English proficiency required; reliable transportation and valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repair, installation, and turnaround activities on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process equipment.
  • Support safe and reliable mill operations during the turnaround.
  • Work with 8-hour regular time and 2-hour overtime days.
  • Mobilization/demobilization provided for travel; adhere to safety procedures.
  • Safety sensitive position with drug and alcohol testing.

Details:
  • Perform maintenance, repair, installation, and turnaround activities on mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and process equipment to support safe and reliable mill operations.
  • Continuous Schedule
  • 8 -hour regular time and 2-hour overtime workdays
  • Mobilization/Demobilization provided for up to 12 hours of travel each way.
  • LOA for non-locals: $ 170 per day
Qualifications
  • Valid Journeyperson or Apprentice Trade certificate.
  • Minimum 4 years of industrial experience preferred.
  • Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements: + WHMIS
  • No virtual option - in-person attendance required for the following ticket requirements. + Fall Protection + Confined Space Entry + Aerial Work Platform
  • Welders are to provide the following tickets: + CWB + B-Pressure
  • Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation to the site.
  • Valid driver's license and clean 5-year Driver's Abstract with under 6 demerits.
