Discovery Silver in Timmins, Ontario, seeks a certified Industrial Mechanic-Millwright to inspect, repair and maintain surface equipment such as pumps, crushers and mills. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, safety compliance, and the ability to work well in teams or alone.

Qualificações

• Must be a certified Industrial Mechanic-Millwright.
• Good knowledge of compressors, pumps and hoisting plant including conveyance, pumps, crushers, conveyors and mills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, written and computer skills.
• Organized, self-motivated and able to work with others.

Responsabilidades

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair and maintain surface mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Perform predictive and preventive maintenance on pumps, conveyors, crushers, mills and related gear.
• Comply with OHSA and environmental standards and work with teams across departments.
• Provide own tools and adapt to team or solo work as needed.

Hourly Rate: $53.78

Purpose

The successful applicant must be competent in inspecting, repairing, and maintaining Surface mechanical equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for troubleshooting, installing, disassembling, repairing, and performing predictive and preventive maintenance on surface stationary equipment. IE: pumps, conveyors, crushers, mills, compressors, rock breakers.
• Responsible for compliance with OHSA, Corporate and PGM Environmental Regulations, Safety and Sustainability Standards.
• Responsible to work collaboratively with others to achieve organizational goals both within the department and cross-department.
• Must be highly motivated, organized and must be capable of decision-making.
• Responsible for providing own tools.
• Must be able to work with a team or alone as required.
• Assisting in other works areas may be required.

Training and Education

• Must be a certified Industrial Mechanic-Millwright.
• Good knowledge of compressors, pumps and hoisting plant including conveyance, pumps, crushers, compressors, mills, agitators, piping and hydraulic system such as rock breaking system.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and written skills.
• Must be able to organize work and self-motivate.
• Must be willing to work with others.
