Job summary

Discovery Silver is seeking a Surface Equipment Operator to safely run front-end loaders at the Borden mine. You will load ore and waste, build stockpiles, perform inspections, and support haul truck operations to meet production targets.

Strong safety awareness and teamwork are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma and a valid driver's license, plus familiarity with mining safety regulations and site procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders safely and efficiently in accordance with site procedures.

• Conduct pre-operational inspections and complete required equipment reports.
• Monitor equipment performance and promptly report defects or maintenance requirements.
• Assist with road maintenance and berm construction.
• Maintain communication with supervisors, dispatch personnel, and other equipment operators.
• Comply with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and incident investigations as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area around equipment and operational zones.

The Position

Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of front-end loaders at Borden mine. The role supports production activities by loading haul trucks, managing stockpiles, maintaining haul roads, and assisting with general mine operations while adhering to all safety, environmental, and operational standards.
