Job summary

Paradigm Solar is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician to support solar PV and battery storage installations in British Columbia. You will install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems on rooftop and ground-mounted arrays while adhering to safety standards and project specifications.

You will work on projects across Western Canada, primarily in the Revelstoke area for now, with 10–12 hour shifts, overtime, and accommodations provided.

Qualifications

  • Journeyperson Electrician certification required.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, code requirements, drawings, and specifications.
  • Comfort working on active construction sites and outdoors.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems connected to solar PV and battery storage projects.
  • Connect wiring, breakers, switches, grounding systems, inverters, solar arrays, and battery energy components.
  • Read and follow drawings, technical diagrams, code requirements, and site-specific instructions.
  • Use electrical testing devices to diagnose issues and complete repairs or replacements safely.
  • Work safely at heights, including rooftop solar installations, and follow all required safety procedures.
  • Collaborate with other trades, site teams, supervisors, and project leaders to keep work moving efficiently.
  • Support apprentices or junior electricians when guidance is needed.
