Job summary

Nason Contracting Group Ltd. is actively seeking a Journeyperson Electrician for Fort Saskatchewan, AB.

The role focuses on maintenance and servicing of electrical systems across building facilities, with emphasis on safe operations and adherence to CSP and PPE standards. Responsibilities include installation and servicing of lighting, motors, and electrical wiring, using EWP where required, and performing voltage checks and safety-driven maintenance at 600V or less.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge of hazards and safety precautions
• Must be organized, self-driven, and able to understand and execute oral and written instructions
• Must provide own transportation to site
• Valid Journeyperson Certificate
• CSTS 2020
• WHMIS 2015

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and servicing of building lighting systems on site, operate EWP as required
• Maintain high bay and pole lighting using EWP
• Install, repair, and maintain electric motors for pumps on site
• Perform monthly checks on building emergency lighting
• Install wires from existing panels to new and existing equipment on site
• Install conduit for regular service and explosion-proof applications
• Install and maintain heat tracing
• Perform voltage checks on motors
• Megger new and existing conductor installations
• All maintenance scopes for 600V or less
• Follow safety requirements including permits, hazard assessments, confined space procedures, and PPE
• General electrical system maintenance for non-process equipment and buildings at the Shell Scotford refinery site
