Responsibilities

• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing system layouts
• Locate and mark pipe connection points and fixtures
• Cut openings in walls and floors for pipes
• Join pipes using various methods and test for leaks
• Handle refrigerants and install refrigeration or AC components
• Perform maintenance and minor repairs
• Provide customer service and instruct apprentices

Credentials and Experience

• Level one to five apprenticeship training
• Experience with programmable logic controllers, plumbing, control systems, and HVAC systems
