An established industry player is seeking a skilled plumber to join their team. This role involves installing and maintaining plumbing systems in HVAC equipment, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards. Installs commercial and in-house produced plumbing assemblies into in-process HVAC equipment.
Reviews blueprints and specifications; ensures drawings and specifications will function as designed in the intended environment and maintains drawings to reflect any changes or additions.
Tends to plumbing, air, and vacuum issues to keep production equipment operational.
Participates in construction and remodeling projects involving plumbing, air conditioning, or gas fitting changes and additions.
Maintains and performs preventative maintenance on plumbing, heating, air conditioning, and vacuum-related equipment.
Proposes modifications to plans to improve production efficiency and system performance.
Assists in training, supervising, and certifying junior employees and apprentices.
Manages plumbing inventory and orders parts as needed.
Reviews coding accuracy of assigned builds.
Provides technical assistance and emergency response services to existing facilities.
Sets up and tests HVAC equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance with customer requirements.
Keeps detailed maintenance and safety documentation.
Stays updated on technological, compliance, and repair techniques.
Follows all safety standards and regulations, including Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act.
Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Completion of college, CEGEP, vocational, or technical training preferred.
Credentials include Industrial Plumber Trade Certification, 5th Period Apprentice, and working towards an Industrial Plumber Red Seal Certificate.
Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
Experience with routine maintenance operations.
Flexible and interpersonal skills to work effectively in diverse environments.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Strong attention to detail.
Professional and sensitive interaction with people.
Working Conditions
May require 24/7 availability.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Travel to off-site locations may be necessary.
Adherence to safety policies, including protective equipment usage.
Overtime as needed.
Potential hazards related to the trade.
Work may be indoors or outdoors, including construction sites.
