Job summary

Kootenay Disaster Restorations is hiring a skilled bricklayer to perform on-site masonry work at our Kimberley location. You will lay bricks, blocks and veneers, read blueprints, and estimate material needs while working with a team to complete residential and commercial projects.

The role requires physical stamina, adherence to safety standards and ability to supervise apprentices. Relocation willingness is a plus as listed in the job description.

Qualifications

• Bricklayer requires a trades certificate or equivalent experience.
• Ability to read sketches and blueprints for material estimation.
• Proven physical stamina to perform demanding masonry work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and lay bricks, concrete blocks, or veneers.
• Estimate materials, tools and equipment for projects.
• Lay bricks or masonry units to build chimneys and facades.
• Construct and install prefabricated masonry units.
• Read sketches and blueprints to calculate materials required.
• Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages.
• Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers.
• Restore, clean or paint masonry structures.
