This position is based out of our Grande Prairie & Lloydminster Site Locations.

Preferred Qualifications: RS / JM Mechanic, or exceptional 4th year apprentice considered. Local applicants will be prioritized. Relocation support available for exceptional candidates.

The Opportunity: The Journeyman / woman Heavy Duty Mechanic will report to the Maintenance Manager and will be responsible for addressing mechanical issues and preventative maintenance on Sanjel equipment. CVIP experience and current license are required; Red Seal certification is mandatory. Exceptional 4th year apprentices may also be considered.

Responsibilities include:

1. Collaborate with a team of mechanics, prioritizing tasks to ensure efficient operations and safety.
2. Perform scheduled CVIP inspections and other fleet maintenance duties.
3. Refurbish and update existing equipment.
4. Diagnose faults and malfunctions, and repair or replace defective parts.
5. Test equipment post-repair to ensure performance standards are met.
6. Conduct routine maintenance such as cleaning and lubricating equipment.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman / woman Heavy Duty Mechanic Certificate with Inter-provincial Red Seal.
• Current CVIP License with relevant experience.
• Strong 4th year apprentices will be considered.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical assembly.
• Mechanical experience in the oilfield industry is an asset.
• Unrestricted Class 5 driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Strong safety practices and a team-oriented, problem-solving attitude.

Candidates with Military or Canadian Armed Forces experience are encouraged to apply.
