Job summary

CESSCO Fabrication and Engineering Ltd. in Edmonton, AB is hiring a Journeyperson Welder for day and night shifts in our pressure vessel fabrication shop.

The welder will read and interpret drawings, follow welding procedures, and ensure quality and safety in all shop fabrications. Responsibilities include applying correct welding consumables, preheating as required, and maintaining clear communication with inspectors and production staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret drawings and documents such as welding procedures, standards and specifications, purchase orders, terms and conditions and other documents.
• Background in all welding processes, material handling, forming, burning, rigging, layout and fitting operations.
• Ongoing training and qualification with CESSCO welding procedures, safety policies, quality control, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety programs and welding specifications for shop fabrications.
• Maintain weld size, quality and required markings on all welds.
• Communicate with clients, inspectors, and production team members as needed.
• Adhere to safety rules and keep work area tidy.
