Job summary

Badger Infrastructure Solutions is seeking a Welder Journeyman to perform advanced welding for industrial, construction, and manufacturing projects. The role requires proficiency in multiple welding methods, blueprint reading, and a commitment to safety and quality.

The candidate will work on diverse metal structures, operate overhead cranes, and routinely document data and process improvements. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with limited supervision are essential.

Qualifications

• Education: associate degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years related experience.
• Must be a registered Alberta apprentice, Alberta Certified Journeyperson, or hold an Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement.
• Proficient in gas, metal, steel, and arc welding (GMAW) with solid wire and metal core process welding.
• Experience in metal core and aluminum welding is an asset.
• Able to communicate clearly in writing and verbally with strong attention to detail.
• Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds and working in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Improves operations, reduces turnaround times, and streamlines work processes while providing quality customer service.
• Performs welding duties including grinding, housekeeping, shaping components, and inspecting for defects.
• Operates overhead cranes.
• Completes all data tracking and related forms.
• Follows work procedures and standard operating procedures.
• Learns and applies new welding procedures, systems, and techniques.
• Works safely with minimal supervision.
• Adheres to workplace safety policies and regulations.
