Job summary

Bativac in Montreal, QC is seeking a journeyman refrigeration technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems. You’ll work from a brand-new service truck, with a pre-planned schedule and a logistics team handling parts.

You’ll perform preventive maintenance on refrigeration, air conditioning, and ventilation systems, respond to service calls, and write clear service reports. Training is ongoing and wages follow the decree.

Qualifications

• Journeyman refrigeration technician with HVAC expertise.
• Ability to diagnose and repair commercial systems on site.
• Proven track record with preventive maintenance and service reports.

Responsibilities

What you’ll do

• Perform preventive maintenance on commercial and institutional refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, and HVAC systems (rooftop units, heat pumps, air handling units, VRF, split systems, make-up air units, etc.)
• Diagnose and repair breakdowns, including on service calls and emergencies
• Commission systems and replace components
• Write clear service reports and recommend upcoming work
• Provide courteous, professional service to customers
