ATCO Frontec in Calgary, AB seeks a Red Seal Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter A to join the Facilities Solutions team. The role involves maintenance, modifications, and installation of plumbing systems across construction projects.

After-hours and weekend work may be required; tools, uniforms, and PPE are provided. Responsibilities include inspections, running gas and water lines, boiler installations, valve replacements, and supporting project scoping and scheduling with a strong emphasis on safety

Qualifications

• Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal are required.
• Class A Gas Fitter is required.
• Class 5 license and clean driving record are required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Willing to travel and work after hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections, testing, and report defects timely.
• Run drain, plumbing, and gas lines; install plumbing equipment.
• Install boilers, hot-water tanks and furnaces.
• Replace valves and actuators as needed.
• Assist with scoping, estimating, and planning new work.
• Ensure installations meet codes and are properly sized.
• Support project schedules and safety protocols.

ATCO Frontec is seeking Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitter A to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary, AB

The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for maintenance, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems throughout our construction projects.

The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, PPE are provided.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies
• Running drain lines, plumbing lines, and Gas lines as well as installation of all plumbing related equipment.
• Installation of Boilers, hot-water tanks and furnaces.
• Replace valves and actuators
• Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the committed schedule
• Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects
• Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded
• Guarantee all installations, repairs, and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with a minimum of 3 years’ experience is required
• Class A Gas Fitter is required.
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read drawings and blueprints
• Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
• Willing to travel
