Job summary

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Plumber for Resolute Bay, NU. The role involves maintenance, modifications and installations/dismantling of plumbing systems in a remote environment with a 4 weeks on/off rotation.

Required are a JourneypersonPlumber certification with 5+ years experience, Class 5 license with clean driving record, and safety certs (Fall Arrest, Confined Space, Elevated Work Platform). Gas Fitter license is a plus. Travel and accommodations are provided.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Plumber certification with at least 5 years experience.
• Gas Fitter License considered an asset.
• Valid Class 5 license and clean driving record required.
• Certifications in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, modifications and installations/dismantling of plumbing systems.
• Complete timely inspections, testing and reporting of defects.
• Assist with scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work.
• Ensure installations meet codes and environmental requirements.
• Collaborate with team to meet safety and project schedules.

Description: ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Plumber to join our team in Resolute Bay, NU. The Journeyman Plumber is responsible for maintenance, modifications, and installations/dismantling of plumbing systems.

Rotation

4 weeks on, 4 weeks off, 10 hours per day, 7 days a week. Travel and accommodation are all paid.

Requirements

• Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies
• Perform scheduled maintenance service on plumbing systems and fixtures
• Provide input for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule
• Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects
• Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported and graded
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Certified Plumber with a minimum of 5 years experience
• Gas Fitter License is considered an asset
• Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract is required
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Able to read drawings and blueprints
• Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety
