Position Summary

The Journeyman Plumber/Gas Fitter collaborates with the Maintenance team, handling plumbing duties in a residential multi-family setting.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Perform service plumbing duties
2. Conduct preventive maintenance on boiler systems to extend lifecycle and reduce costs
3. Maintain strong knowledge of boiler systems, hot water tanks, furnaces, MUA, pumps, etc.
4. Adhere to building codes and specifications
5. Install, repair, and maintain domestic/residential plumbing systems
6. Set up and troubleshoot boilers
7. Participate in on-call duties and respond to emergencies as needed
8. Submit completion reports daily
9. Perform other duties as assigned by the Regional or Facilities Manager

Qualifications and Requirements

1. Must have a Journeyman Plumber ticket, Gas Fitter Class A
2. Experience with service plumbing and boiler systems/HWT/furnaces
3. Experience in multi-family residential buildings is an asset
4. Own tools required
5. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
6. Successfully pass security clearance
