ATCO Frontec is seeking Red Seal Journeyman Plumbers/Gasfitter A to join our Facilities Solutions team in Calgary, AB. The Journeyman Plumber/Gasfitter is responsible for maintenance, modifications, and installation/dismantling of plumbing systems throughout our projects.

The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required. Tools, uniforms, and PPE are provided.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects and deficiencies.
• Run drain lines, plumbing lines, and gas lines; install all plumbing-related equipment.
• Install boilers, hot-water tanks, and furnaces.
• Replace valves and actuators.
• Contribute input for planned and scheduled work, and assist with completing the schedule.
• Aid in scoping, estimating, planning, and executing new work or projects.
• Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, and graded.
• Guarantee all work meets the requirements of the relevant codes.

Qualifications:

• Journeyman Plumber Certificate and Red Seal with at least 3 years of experience.
• Class A Gas Fitter (preferred).
• Class 5 driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings and blueprints.
• Ability to work well in a team and a strong commitment to safety.
• Willingness to travel.
