Silent-Aire Limited Partnership, a wholly owned subsidiary of Johnson Controls, designs, engineers, and manufactures hyperscale cooling and modular data center solutions. We are located in the Edmonton region with facilities in Edmonton, Sherwood Park, and Nisku.

We Offer Various Shifts:

• Rotating Day Shift (continental)
• Monday to Thursday Nightshift
• Weekend Nightshift (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday)

Role Overview:

The Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems in a large manufacturing environment. This includes working with air conditioning, humidifiers, gas lines, water pipes, sewer utilities, compressed air lines, compressors, and vacuum pumps, following safe work practices.

Responsibilities:

• Install plumbing assemblies into HVAC equipment.
• Review blueprints and specifications; ensure accuracy and reflect changes.
• Maintain plumbing, air, and vacuum systems to ensure continuous operation.
• Participate in construction and remodeling projects involving plumbing, HVAC, or gas fitting.
• Perform maintenance and preventative maintenance on related equipment.
• Propose improvements to enhance system efficiency.
• Supervise and train junior employees and apprentices.
• Manage inventory and order parts as needed.
• Review coding accuracy of builds.
• Provide emergency and technical support to facilities.
• Test and set up HVAC equipment to meet customer requirements.
• Maintain detailed maintenance reports and safety documentation.
• Stay updated on technological and compliance changes.
• Adhere to safety standards and regulations.
• Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Completion of college/technical training preferred.
• Credentials: Industrial Plumber Trade Certification, 5th Period Apprentice, working towards Red Seal certification.
• Ability to work independently and in a busy environment.
• Experience with routine maintenance operations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and pay attention to detail.

Working Conditions:

• Availability for 24/7 shifts may be required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Travel to off-site locations may be necessary.
• Compliance with safety policies, including protective equipment.
• Overtime as needed.
• Work may be indoors or outdoors, including construction sites.
