Job summary

Jay's Transportation Group Ltd. in Regina, SK, is seeking a Journeyman Mechanic to service and repair commercial trucks and trailers. The role requires a valid Class 5 license, SGI certification, and a journeyman ticket.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose, and perform maintenance with a focus on safety and quality. This position features a Monday–Friday schedule, opportunities for training, and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Journeyman certification is required.
• SGI certification is required.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license; Class 1A is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Mechanically inclined with strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Must have own tools.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

JAY'S TRANSPORTATION GROUP LTD. is a subsidiary of The Mullen Group and is one of the largest household moving, storage and freight transportation companies in Saskatchewan. We provide direct freight service to over 550 locations in the province.

Responsibilities

• Experience working with commercial equipment such as trucks and trailers.
• Provide vehicle troubleshooting and diagnostic repairs
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Accurate completion of work orders and time cards
• Schedule and prioritize work needed on equipment
• Assist in ordering replacement equipment, parts and supplies
• Maintain safe working conditions and adhere to occupational health and safety regulations
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
• Shift is Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00pm
