WHAT'S THE JOB?

At Horizon North (part of Dexterra Group), we’re seeking a Journeyman Mechanic to maintain our fleet. You’ll diagnose, maintain, and repair trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment, work closely with the foreman, mentor apprentices, and occasionally work in the field. Here’s a Taste Of The Day-to-day

• Perform diagnostics and repairs on Class 8 trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
• Conduct preventative maintenance to avoid issues
• Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently
• Participate in a paid rotating on-call schedule
• Support and mentor less experienced mechanics
• Prioritize safety, professionalism, and teamwork

Qualifications

You’ll Thrive In This Role If You Have

• Journeyperson certification in Heavy Duty or Automotive Mechanics

• Strong diagnostics skills, especially on Class 8 equipment
• Experience with service trucks or field work is a plus
• Possession or interest in obtaining a commercial inspection license
