Job summary

Mnr Electric is seeking a journeyman/journeywoman electrician Apprentice for work across Edmonton, AB. The role requires on-the-road duties with a permanent, full-time contract and an hourly wage of 35.00 to 38.00, to be negotiated. Travel is frequent, and a valid driver's license is necessary.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing electrical controls, wiring, underground cables, and service designs for single- or multi-meter installations, while maintaining safety and documentation.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• Experience designing/constructing electrical systems and wiring.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes.
• Install underground wiring and cables.
• Design and construct single-phase service for single or multimeter installations.
• Splice, join and connect wires.
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults in circuits.
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
• Supervise other workers.

Responsibilities

Tasks

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes

• Install power generation, stand-by power generation and power conditioning systems

• Ground and bond electrical equipment, systems and structures including swimming pools and hot tubs
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
