Job summary

Coast Electric Ltd. is seeking a skilled electrician to join our Burnsby, BC location. The role is permanent, full-time, with standard shifts and no remote work option.

You will install and repair electrical controls, panels, underground wiring, and related components, reading blueprints and ensuring safe, code-compliant installations. The ideal candidate has 1–2 years of experience, a secondary school diploma, and the ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of related electrical experience preferred.
• Physical ability to perform job duties at a fixed site.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes at customer sites.
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panels as needed.
• Install underground wiring and cables following blueprints.

Tasks

• Install electrical controls and panel boxes
• Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
• Install underground wiring and cables
• Splice, join and connect wires
• Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
• Troubleshoot and isolate faults
• Connect power to audio and visual equipment
• Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
• Conduct preventive maintenance programs
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
